Five years ago, National Audubon looked into what birds were telling us about climate change, and what they found out was that more than half of the birds in North America would be at risk by century’s end. This year, NAS scientists once again surveyed the effects of climate change on America’s birds, this time with more sophisticated research tools and an expanded regional analysis that included Mexico as well as the United States and Canada.
Our findings in this report are the fifth alarm in a fivealarm fire. Still, there is reason for hope if we act now.
