Get outside, have fun, while helping protect birds & wildlife
Join the fun for the annual Sacajawea Audubon Society Birdathon! Gather your team and spend a day outdoors identifying as many bird species as possible within a 24-hour period—all while raising funds for local conservation and education programs. Collect pledges per species or bird seen as you explore fields, forests, waterways, or even your own backyard. Teams can be made up of friends, family, or coworkers. Businesses are encouraged to participate or sponsor. You can do a half-day, full day, or whatever time will allow.
Register at Sacajaweaaudubon.org to receive your Birdathon kit and start planning.
Awards include: Most Species • Most Raptors • Most Money Raised • Most Pledges Collected • Most Magpies – “Einstein of Bird” Award •Most Species within a 200-ft radius – “Sitting Duck” Award • Best Bird Seen
Submit results by June 23, and celebrate at the Awards Party on June 24 at 7:00 PM at the Indreland Audubon Wetland Preserve.
