A BioBlitz is a community science event where people of all ages work together to discover, identify, and record as many plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms as possible in a single day. No experience is necessary—our experts will be on hand throughout the event to help you learn how to spot and identify living species within the Indreland Preserve.
Together, we’ll upload our observations to iNaturalist, where the data becomes part of a global biodiversity database used by scientists, researchers, and conservationists. Every observation helps us better understand the incredible diversity of life in our region. By participating in our annual BioBlitz, you’ll help us create a yearly snapshot of the species that live in and depend on this important habitat, allowing us to track changes over time and measure the success of the restoration.Come explore, learn, and make real contributions to science.
