SUMMARY:Ennis Lake Waterfowl Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:Leader: George Nixon 406-219-6169  hawkowl526@gmail.com  \n\n\n\nMeet at 7:45 am at the Museum of the Rockies \n\n\n\nCarpool and depart at 8:00 am \n\n\n\nThis should be near the peak time for migrating waterfowl\, grebes\, and loons.  Ennis Lake is one of the premiere staging areas for migrating waterfowl in southwestern Montana.  Thousands of ducks can be spread across the lake on any given day.  As is typical with high concentrations of birds\, there should be a wide variety of waterfowl and the possibility of a rarity being found.   Bring a lunch and other essentials as we’ll be out until mid to late afternoon.  Also\, remember to bring plenty of warm clothes as it could be cold and windy at the lake. If you have a spotting scope\, please bring it for scanning the lake.  Limit 12 people or 5 vehicles.  For more information and to make reservations\, contact George.

SUMMARY:Spooky Stroll
DESCRIPTION:Join us on the historic railroad berm for a spooktacular celebration of fall wildlife! As the sun sets\, gather to witness the crows returning to one of their favorite autumn roosts in the wooded wetland\, filling the evening sky with their raucous calls. Keep an eye out for beavers\, too\, as they become active before dusk—busily preparing for the colder days ahead. \n\n\n\nBring your kids\, costumes\, and curiosity! We’ll take a short stroll through the preserve to watch the corvids come in to roost for the night. Dress up as your favorite corvid or nighttime mammal if you like.
