SUMMARY:Fall Field Trips - Glen Lake Rotary Park
DESCRIPTION:Trip Leader: Woody Martyn   406-224-1476   woodymartyn@hotmail.com \n\n\n\nMeet at 8:00 am at Glen Lake.  (3-4 hours; easy walking) \n\n\n\nThis park is arguably the premier spot in Bozeman for fall migration birding.  There is abundant cover along the East Gallatin River\, around Glen Lake and the fields in between. This is an ideal spot for songbirds to forage and rest during their long migration.  At this time in September warblers\, sparrows\, and many species come through in waves that often include some surprises. \n\n\n\nParticipants limited to 10    \n\n\n\nTo reserve a spot on the trip or for more information please contact the trip leader.

SUMMARY:Bridger Raptor Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Bridger Raptor Festival is an annual event held in early October at Bridger Bowl Ski Area outside of Bozeman\, Montana. The festival\, which is free to the public\, centers around the largest known Golden Eagle migration in the United States. Since 1991 a raptor migration count has taken place every fall at the Bridger Bowl ski area in the Gallatin National Forest just north of Bozeman. Festival activities center around raptor viewing and include nature walks and talks\, educational and entertaining programs and activities for people of all ages. Please No Dogs – Live raptors will be at this event and some can spot prey from a mile away!
