SUMMARY:2026 Montana Master Naturalist Course
DESCRIPTION:Location: Evening classes will be held at Hope Lutheran Church. Field locations will vary. \n\n\n\nThrough classroom and outdoor instruction\, this 8-week course will deepen your experience and understanding of the fascinating landscape we call home. We will explore the local plants\, mammals\, birds\, geology\, and more. You will build a deeper connection with the land\, meet other nature-enthusiasts\, and join a state-wide community of master naturalists! SUMMARY:Spring Raptor ID Workshop with Steve Hoffman
DESCRIPTION:If you struggle with raptor identification or feel your raptor identification skills can be improved\, this opportunity may be what levels up your skills. You will learn the key details to look for in order to better identify all the raptors likely to be seen in our area. \n\n\n\nThis workshop includes a classroom session on Thursday\, March 12 at 6:30PM and an all day field trip on Saturday\, March 14 at 8:00AM.  You can still sign up for the classroom session if you can’t make it to the field trip.  \n\n\n\nTo register go to: Steve Hoffman Raptor ID Workshop \n\n\n\n$45 – Classroom and Field Trip SAS Member \n\n\n\n$60 – Classroom and Field Trip Non Member \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSteve Hoffman has devoted his entire 44-year career to wildlife conservation. Steve founded HawkWatch International in 1986\, and has authored more than 50 publications and reports on raptor migration\, ecology and conservation. Steve is also the owner of Merlin Birding Tours and leads birding groups all around the world. Here in Bozeman\, he coordinates the local Bridger Raptor Migration Project.
