May 2011 Newsletter
This will be our last newsletter before the summer break, so I hope you enjoy! There are lots of opportunities to join up with your fellow birders to get outside this summer as noted in the newsletter. Also, this month is the annual SAS Sweet and Savory meeting, so bring your favorite dish and come share your stories! I wish you a very enjoyable summer (really, it is coming) and Happy Birding! As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the newsletter!

I live just outside Bozeman in Kelly Canyon. I have 3 Bluebird nest boxes that I would like to put out. Does anyone know when would be a good time to put them out?

Hi Monica,
You should put your bluebird boxes out as soon as possible. The birds are back and will start nesting in the next couple of weeks (weather permitting).
Make sure you space your boxes out, with a minimum of 200 yards between. If you have any questions, feel free to call me.
Good luck!

Bluebirds are already returning. Now is the time to put the boxes out. Anne
